Cannot change folding@home resource settings after swapping motherboards

I swapped motherboards today, and got a really strange issue where I could not change any folding@home resource settings anymore on my Arch Linux (I use arch btw) machine. I would drag the CPU slider down, hit apply, and it just wouldn't apply.

I could not find anything trying to Google about it, so I bruteforced a solution:

yay -R foldingathome # uninstall it
sudo rm -rf /var/lib/fah-client
yay -S foldingathome # install it again
sudo systemctl start fah-client.service # start the service again

Now my computer showed up as a new machine, but I was able to change resoure settings again!

Hopefully this helps someone... or maybe not... but atleast I can remember how to fix it again if I ever need to.
