Resident Evil requiem

Resident Evil requiem

Wasn't really planning on playing this game, I'm not the hugest RE fan. But I got it for "free" when I bought a new computer mouse (the mouse cost about as much as the game, so... free game or free mouse, depending on how you wanna look at it).

Ironically I ended up playing it with my Steam Controller anyway. First game I play with it! It was quite awesome I have to say. I hooked up my PC to my TV, and it was like I had a Steam Machine (but way better specs). Especially when I discovered that you can press the Steam button + Start to "ALT-TAB" it really clicked with me. I can just boot up into Steam Big Picture mode, and if I feel like watching YouTube I can just "ALT-TAB" out to a web browser.

I mean, I already knew I would like the Steam Controller. I love the controller aspects of the Steam Deck, and my main issue when previously hooking up the Steam Deck to my TV has been the lack of the extra buttons and trackpad, but now that's not a problem anymore!

...Oh yeah, this is meant to be about the game huh, not the Steam Controller.

Well frankly I don't have anything interesting to say about the game really. It was perfectly average. I didn't particularly enjoy playing the game, but I also didn't particularly dislike playing the game. I didn't love it, I didn't hate it. It was fine. Not great, not terrible.

We'll see if I do like I did with RE3 and go back and get all the achievements for it. I kind of want to, but playing on Insanity difficulty sounds miserable. But that's what I thought about RE3 as well... Actually a lot of similarities between this review and RE3 - I thought that game was also very mediocre.

Anyway, here's some screenshots. Mostly for me to go back and look at it in the future and go "...oh yeah... that game."

Ain't that a Sega Saturn?
Ah ah, he said it
Shaggy in Scooby-Doo was braver

Yep, went back and got all the achievements. Actually comically simple to do.
